What once was the James J. Hill Farm in 1883 became a quiet residential community and retreat carried out by his son, Louis W. Hill, in 1948. 

Renowned architect Stanley Thompson was hired to design North Oaks Golf Club, which became his only course in Minnesota and the last course he designed in North America. 

Minnesota's own Tom Lehman revitalized our championship course, and it remains the envy of many amateur and professional golfers. 

Since 1951, aspiring and skilled golfers have tested their skills at one of the finest private community clubs in the Twin Cities and one of the most fun, challenging, and enjoyable golf courses in Minnesota.
